Founded in 2015, the ‘Spellenmaakgilde’ is a game makers guild that facilitates playtesting by tabletop game designers in the northern part of the Netherlands. It is open for anyone interested. Events are free, we just ask visitors to bring something to eat and/ or drink. Our location was for a long time facilitated by an Indie Game Development hub Indietopia (many thanks!) and since a few years we reside at the Forum Groningen, the new cultural hub of the city.

We have a testing night almost every first Friday of the month in Groningen and expanded to many other cities in the Netherlands and Belgium. If you are interested in participating, check out our northern website: spellenmaakgilde.net. Or our Dutch website that we launched in 2023. And as of 2023 we are the Dutch Country Chapter for the international game author association SAZ.
