Each year in January the Global Game Jam is organised. In a weekend (48 hours) teams cooperate to make a game loosely based on the theme of that year. In 2017 the keyword was ‘waves’. Games can be digital or analogue (tabletop). They asked me to judge, especially for potential tabletop games. There weren none, but that was ok. We as judges were all impressed by the amount of interesting and appealing digital games! And it was fun to do, even though the time to play all the games was too short.
Hanze applied University sponsored the event (amongst others) and posted a small article about it: It’s in Dutch. Check out the overview of games here. Kudos to all the participants and volunteers who made this possible in Groningen!
